Common questions

Will the timer alert me with the screen locked?

Yes, if you allow notifications when the app asks. With the app open, the timer gives haptic cues at the halfway point, three seconds before the end, and when time is up. If you lock the phone or switch apps mid-steep, a notification tells you when the steep is ready.

The app closed in the middle of a brew. Is it lost?

No. The session is saved as you go. Open the app and Home shows Resume; the timer picks up where it was, because it counts from the moment you started, not from when the app reopened.

How do I repeat a brew I loved?

Mark the session as your reference brew in the Journal. Next time, tap Repeat this brew on the tea, or Brew again on Home: setup opens with the timings you actually poured.

Sign in with the same Apple Account, open Settings in the app and tap Restore purchases.

Where is my data, and how do I back it up?

Everything stays on your device and is included in your normal iCloud or computer backup. There is no account and no server, so there is nothing to sign in to.
