Privacy Policy

CAFESSIO: Tea & Matcha Brewer for iPhone and iPad (bundle ID com.cafessio.specialtytea) is a tea and matcha brewing timer and journal. This policy explains what happens to your information. The short version: nothing is sent to us or to anyone else. The app has no server behind it and no network code of its own.

What we collect

Nothing.

The app contains no networking code, no analytics or crash-reporting library, no advertising SDK and no third-party service. We have no server and no account system, and we never see your data. The only connection the app ever makes is to Apple’s App Store when you buy or restore CAFESSIO Pro (see Payments below).

What the app stores on your device

Everything you create stays in the app’s own storage on your iPhone or iPad:

• Your teas and matcha tins, including origin, cultivar, harvest, price and remaining grams
• Your teaware and water profiles
• Recipes you create or save from a session
• Your brew sessions and journal: every infusion time, ratings, flavor tags and tasting notes
• A brew in progress, so it can be resumed if the app closes
• Your settings, such as theme, units and haptics

Deleting the app deletes all of it.

iCloud and device backups

Like most iPhone and iPad apps, the app’s data is included in the standard backup your device makes to iCloud or to your computer, if you have backups turned on. That backup is made by Apple, not by us, under Apple’s privacy policy, and we cannot access it. You can manage backups in your device’s Settings.

Notifications

If you allow it, the app schedules a notification on your device when a steep ends while the app is in the background. These notifications are created and delivered locally by iOS; nothing is sent to a push server. You can turn them off in Settings at any time and the timers keep working on screen.

What we do not collect or request

• No account, sign-in, name or email address
• No location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone
• No advertising identifier and no tracking
• No analytics or crash reporting
• No advertising

We do not sell, share, rent or broker your information. There is nothing to sell.

Payments

The app is free to download and use, with a free collection of up to ten items. CAFESSIO Pro is an optional one-time in-app purchase that adds insights, brew comparisons, water profiles and an unlimited collection. It is sold and processed entirely by Apple through the App Store: we never see, receive or store your payment details or your Apple Account. The app only asks the App Store, on your device, whether Pro has been purchased, so it can unlock it and so you can restore it on another device.

Apple collects information about downloads and purchases independently of this app, under Apple’s own privacy policy.

Children

The app is not directed at children, and it collects no information from anyone, children included.

Your rights

Because your data never reaches us, there is no request to make of us:

• To see your data: open the app
• To delete it: delete individual records, or delete the app

We cannot access, correct or delete your information on your behalf, because we do not have it.

Changes to this policy

If the app ever changes in a way that affects this document — adding network access, analytics, crash reporting or new purchases — this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the date above will change.
